How to convert a bank statement PDF to Excel without uploading it

Jul 28, 2025

The whole conversion runs in your browser tab. Here is what happens between dropping the PDF in and downloading the spreadsheet, and why no file ever leaves your machine.

Open the converter, drop in the PDF, and the browser opens the file straight off your disk. There is no upload endpoint waiting for it, so the statement is read on your machine and the spreadsheet is written on your machine.

The parser reads the real characters and where they sit on the page, groups them back into rows and columns, and checks every line against the running balance the bank printed. What you get is an editable table with anything doubtful already flagged, ready to export as .xlsx or .csv.

The simplest way to prove nothing is sent anywhere is to turn your wifi off after the page has loaded. The conversion still works, because there was never a server in the loop to begin with.
